Complaints Procedure

CBC will always attempt to resolve any complaint at local level in a timely manner with the surveyor or manager concerned.
Should this not be possible, the complainant can contact the Commercial Manager, by e-mailing: [email protected], telephone 07494 745642 or explain the complaint in writing to Alison Trimmer, Compliance Building Control, Basepoint, Suite 20, Pine Grove, Crowborough, East Sussex TN6 1DH.

We will collate and review the facts and circumstances associated with the complaint and provide an initial response to the complainant within 3 working days of the complaint being referred under this procedure. If the complainant is not satisfied with the outcome following investigation and response by CBC they will be provided with a copy of the Professional Conduct Rules for Registered Building Control Approvers as issued by the HSE and may escalate the matter to the Building Safety Regulator for further investigation: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/contact-the-building-safety-regulator#complaints-you-can-make-to-bsr – 0300 790 6787.
